When you test a lot of cars, you find yourself using lots of superlatives and adjectives; new, improved, advanced, sportier, faster, blah, blah, blah. But every once in a while a car comes along that stops you in your tracks because it just speaks to you on a different level.

That's how I feel about the 2019 Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 AWD. This is a car that just speaks to me. Yes it's nimble, and quick, but it's so much more too. Stylish, comfortable, easy to live with...there I go again with the superlatives. It's hard not to use some adjectives with a car I like so much like the Q60.

The Q-ship is powered by a 3.0 liter twin-turbocharged V6 of 400 horsepower, and 350 lb/ft of torque. To put this in some historical perspective, my old 1970 Monte Carlo SS454 made only 360 (gross) horsepower out of 7.4 liters, over double the displacement of the Q60 with fuel mileage in the single digits. Monte Monte made do with a 3-speed automatic, but the Infinti comes mated to a 7-speed automatic with manual shift mode, paddle shifters w/downshift rev matching.

It also has "Infiniti-Intelligent-All-Wheel-Drive," dynamic fully-independent front and rear suspension. There is also a drive mode selector that allow you to choose from several pre-set modes, or one you can fully customize to your own driving taste. It also has front and rear "Zero Lift" aerodynamic design that can help increase the vehicle's stability at high speeds.

I'll translate all of this for you...it goes like hell, sticks to the road like the tires are coated with Gorilla Glue, and it quiet, stylish, refined and comfortable while doing it. There go those damn superlatives again!

The interior has gorgeous perforated seating surfaces, and is awash in attractive carbon fiber, and aluminum accents. It somehow manages to look both classic and contemporary at the same time. I'm one big-ass man, and I found this interior inviting and superbly comfortable. Every time I climbed aboard I let out a sigh of contentment.

Yes, there is also a certain amount of practicality. My two nearly full-grown boys who are larger than I got in the back without too much trouble or complaint, and the trunk held a few groceries, and the parts for my four-eyed 5.0 Mustang I picked up along the way.

EVERYONE I encountered commented how much they liked the styling, and the "Dynamic Sunston" paint (who comes up with these names?) The Q looks great from every angle, both inside and out.

This is a sports car for a full-grown adult. You can cruise in it comfortably for hundreds of miles, and it would no-doubt shine on track day. The base 4-cylinder car starts at reasonable $40,850, our Red Sport 400 AWD has a base price of $56,900 and as tested with all the best toys $64,930, so it ain't cheap. Mileage is a respectable EPA rated 19 city, 26 highway, and 21 combined.

I make it a policy to not read others reviews of a car I'm testing until after I form my own opinions. I ready some "meh" reviews on a couple of other test sites. I think some of my car-testing Bro's have sorta missed the point on this one. If your a full-grown adult that wants a car that stands out in styling, comfort, and performance the Q60 might be for you. Don't take my word for it, skip on down to the closest Infiniti dealer and make up your own mind. I certainly have. No apologies for the adjectives and superlatives on this one!
